Am I being “age-ist”? Maybe. But maybe not. The world is a pretty complicated place right now and I’m thinking that it’s not such a great time to elect our oldest President ever. So sue me.

I agree. And McCain’s comments before and after the address just made him look petty.

Just read url… Berlin… Yup. Love the pics of Obama in front of the “Wing-ed Victory” statue on all the UK papers this morning.

admittedly, i’m biased…. but i’m telling you, this guy is the real deal.
i mean, i voted for kerry in 04 and gore in 00 because i’m committed to the principles of the democratic party… and because neither of those guys were bush! but, in my heart of hearts, i couldn’t get EXCITED about either of them. it’s actually thrilling to finally have a candidate that i can get truly excited by - and excited at the prospect of him actually winning.
november can’t come soon enough.

By the way: the reunited Germany is younger than McCain. It became offically on nation on october 3rd 1990. So it is also a lot younger than Obama…. As is the European Union, which came into being with the Maastricht Treaty of 1991 or the Euro, which was introcuced in this century! So you see, old Europe is becoming a lot younger -and maybe even fresher- than lots of the debates and issues raised in the US-campaign.

But can he draw crowds like that in Peoria?

the divided Germany is also much younger than John McCain.
The Berlin Wall came and went, separating families for generations — starting at a time when he was already old enough to vote, ending three presidents ago.

I don’t know about Peoria, but he drew a crowd like that in Portland!
