Wow, what a bunch of Karl Rove crap…
First, you’re wrong, both McCain and Obama sr. were born in 1936. I can’t find an exact birthdate fro Obama sr., but since McCain was born in the end on August we could only be a few months older, or several months younger.
As a firm Obama supporter (at the age of 52, and older than Alaska myself), I can only hope you are in the Clinton camp, because I’d be embarrassed to think you were in my camp with this kind of prejudiced garbage.
What if you said “the world is a pretty complicated place right now and I’m thinking that it’s not such a great time to elect our first Black President ever.” or maybe “the world is a pretty complicated place right now and I’m thinking that it’s not such a great time to elect our first Female President ever.”
Definitely something I would expect from Bush and his henchmen or maybe Hillary’s camp…

Well, to be fair now, it is well known and (I would think) uncontroversial to say that advanced age does have an impairing effect on physical and mental health. To deny this is idiotic, frankly.
His age *is* a matter of concern. At 71, he’s definitely in the danger zone for all kinds of health problems that could leave us with a dead president, and many that could just leave us with an incompetent one (Reagan redux).

Seems to me if both of Obama’s folks have passed away and Roberta McCain is still going strong the point on age may just well go to the Senator from Arizona.

This is how age matters (just an expample): Mcain doesn’t know how to use the internet or even e-mail. This is 2008! He doesn’t live in this time. He lives in a time and world that is dieing (hopefully very soon). This is not a time for out-moded, old-fashioned ways of looking at the world and politics. We need a man of THIS time, a man of OUR world. All the people his age will be dead and gone very soon, as will a white majority. And, as a 47-year-old Latina who just became an American citizen, THANK GOD! WE are creat8ng the world now. And it will be stronger, smarter, re-charged, fresh and a new.
