Am I being “age-ist”? Maybe. But maybe not. The world is a pretty complicated place right now and I’m thinking that it’s not such a great time to elect our oldest President ever. So sue me.

Roy, am I mayor?
I, zany Nazi.
God saw I was dog.

From AmericaBlog.com:
“The pills are for, among other things, dementia and Alzheimer’s. Anybody think that’s relevant? If one were predisposed to lying, what a convenient way not to have to divulge that McCain is on dementia and Alzheimer’s medication since officially this is “not” medication - thus no need to divulge.“ (Emphasis added… for emphasis.)
From the NY Daily News:
“Campaign reps for Sen. John McCain obtained an herbal supplement touted to enhance memory and keep energy levels up for the candidate before his joust with Sen. Barack Obama, a source tells us.”
From the Rocky Mountain News:
“John McCain is taking my Neuro1 to stay sharp,” Romo told me Thursday. “He was really sharp for the debate (against Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama) last week. For anyone with that level of stress and that travel schedule (Neuro1) is really helpful.”
Yeah, anyone who is 72.
(Thanks to Jeff for the heads-up.)

Oh well, it’s still a pretty good article… and it speaks to a lot of the things I’m talking about here.
Age, Health Questions Continue For McCain

He is, after all, from a time when such ideas were an accepted norm.
The sheep, nervous about the pummeling that is coming their way in less than a month, are buying into this hate-filled “win through fear” garbage. Seems that no has told them that the Democrats of 2008 aren’t going to roll over and play dead this time.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that the McCain campaign isn’t offering this. But then again, the Obama team probably doesn’t put brochures in Podiatrist’s offices - so I guess we’re even.
You can download the application here.
UPDATE: There’s an easy-to-miss feature on this app that is possibly its greatest benefit. At the bottom of the main screen, there’s a tab called “Issues”. When you go to the section, you’ll find Barack’s position on just about every subject… perfect for when a Republican friend or family member tries to pull that “he doesn’t have a plan” crap. It may worked on Kerry but it won’t work this time.
(I particularly like the part where she can’t name a newspaper that she reads… instead, she claims to read “all of them”. Oh well, I guess this is just another example of that crazy “liberal media” playing “gotcha” journalism and, you know, airing what someone says.)

So a reader named Denise linked to the blog today and told all about how her cuter-than-words (that part is me talking!) daughter stole the show at their local farmer’s market… rocking her official “I’m 70 Years Younger Than McCain” t-shirt.
It’s a nice story - which you can read about here. (Thanks to Denise for sharing!)
Want a shirt of your very own - with any year of your choosing? Go here… and please remember that I’m selling them at my cost to make it easy to spread the gospel of “McCain is really old.”

Assuming that John McDramaQueen wakes up and realizes that the rest of Congress isn’t exactly sitting around saying “Damn! If only JOHN McCAIN - the septuagenarian who barely shows up to vote - was around to help us sort through this mess!”, the book event/debate watching party is going to be on.

Others have said it far more eloquently than I can - but I’ll just add that this stunt on the part of McCain is a scam and we all need to call his bluff.

Is it me, or do McCain’s actions today remind anyone else of the crap you pull when you’re 13 and you show up at school only to discover that there’s a Geometry test that you didn’t study for?
