Colin Powell is younger than John McCain.

Talk about putting “Country First”!
Despite his 25 year friendship with McCain, despite the fact that they are of the same party and both have strong military careers, despite that he was considered as a possible running mate of McCain’s would he have prevailed in the 2000 primaries, and despite the glowing praise that has been bestowed by each onto the other for years, Colin Powell announced this morning that he endorses - and will cast his vote for - Barack Obama.
In doing so, he questioned McCain’s judgement in the selection of Sarah Palin, acknowledged that McCain “is essentially going to execute the Republican agenda”, charged that the Republican focus on William Ayers and Obama’s religious affiliations were damaging America’s image abroad (as if they could be any more damaged!), and called Rep. Bachmann on her bullshit.
This is unbelievably impressive… and, coupled with the $150 million raised by Obama in September (that’s $3,472.22 a minute - I checked!), it’s also probably the final nail in the McCain/Palin coffin. That being said, and since no one knows how to lose an election like a Democrat, we should all still forward videos, send emails, make calls, and yes, give money.
(And, by the way, God help the first Republican that tries to spin this as “they all help each other out”… ’cause you know that’s coming!)

Way to go Colin Powell!
It’s a shame that the Republicans have made moderates so unwelcome in their party… but it’s good news for the Democrats.

Of course they will, they have no shame. The fat drug addict took enough time from his Oxy and trips to Latin America for God knows what to throw this out.
From Politico’s Jonathan Martin:
“Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race,” Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail. “OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I’ll let you know what I come up with.”

Yep, that didn’t take long. Round two: how long before they call Powell a Muslim?

That’s all the junk left in their bag of tricks…Rush the junkie rushes to attack with no thought to the outcome. I’m embarrassed to admit that the jerk is from my state. Unfortunately, MO is a swing state (thank God for the mute button)- When McShame comes on with his whiny ‘I’m entitled’ ads.

Colin Powell is a highly intelligent, educated, and deep thinking man. He would never ever play the race card because if he was that kind of guy he never would have made it to 4 star General or the head of The Joint Cheifs of Staff. Any one who thinks that way is just upset that they didn’t get his endorcement because that is a huge one and know that him endorcing Obama means that the Republican party is truly broken.

You Libs just CAN NOT stand the fact that Gov. Palin has MORE experience than Sen. Obama. The 1 thing that will always be “there” is that at the begining of this Primary and election cycle, Gov. Palin started w/ more experience. That will go down in history

More experiance?!?! I don’t get how she has more experiance. She was mayor of a small town that had a smaller population and less problems then Sen. Obama’s community organsation and definatly less students then he taught at the University. Also if you want talk experiance and types of executive experiance then look at McCain he technically has less expericance then Palin because he also has never been in an executive position.
The republician party needs to come up with something new that isn’t a half truth to make themselves look better.

She will go down in history…as a question in the 2000’s edition of Trivial Pursuit.
