#17- I think #16 was pointing out that the Founding Fathers also wouldn’t have let Obama vote due to his race…It was kind of a clumsy way to say that, given that the post Aqquila was responding to was about her not voting, not about excusing herself from being VP, but I’m pretty sure that’s what he/she was getting at.

#16 - where’s the logic in that statement? Maybe my coffee hasn’t kicked in yet, but I don’t get it.

Has anyone else thought of the similarities between dubya’s era of fear & McCarthyism? I mean you had the house of un-american activities, and the patriot act; spying on citizens for communism, & spying for terrorism; rule through fear of the ‘red’ threat, & rule through fear of unnamed terrorist; I’m sure the list could go much further, but I have to wait for caffeine…. As Pansypoo often says…just saying.

The “merciless Indian Savages” phrase is in the Declaration of Idependence. I’m just sayin’ that if something was good for the Founding Fathers it doesn’t mean it’s good for us (as Palin said) ’cause they lived more than two hundred years ago.
