Things younger than Republican Presidential candidate (oh, and did I forget to mention war hero?) John McCain

Am I being “age-ist”? Maybe. But maybe not. The world is a pretty complicated place right now and I’m thinking that it’s not such a great time to elect our oldest President ever. So sue me.

“Joe the Plumber”.

“Joe the Plumber” is younger than John McCain.

“You’re all ‘Joe the Plumber’!”? Seriously? Is that what the guy who wants to be my President just said?

Good God, why can’t it be Tuesday already so we can send this dottering fool to the old soldier’s home (so he can) await the cavalry charge?

  8. It’s easier to see on the hi res television version of this clip, but at right around the 13 second mark here you can clearly see wife Cindy saying “Oh my God…” as husband John ad libs with “You’re ALL Joe the Plumber.” It’s right before the “I’m a model on the runway” faux smile and saucy head toss.

    Priceless

And by the way, Cindy, I agree

    Oh. My. God.

    It’s come to this.

  9. re: #8: Here’s the CBS video link, which is zoomed in closer and has a hi-res option: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc-ShYjrKKs

I don’t know that Cindy’s lips are that easy to read, but it’s certainly plausible.

  10. Ole ‘Joe the Plumber is making out like a fat cat on this whole press/McShame deal…maybe he will have enough money to pay his back taxes, or even get his license to become a plumber. He is such a perfect patsy for the McShame/Failin ticket - all mouth, no mind (all bluster, no brains?). 4 days before the election, and McShame is still trying to find his speaking points. So far he has come up with negative attack ads, robo-calls that scare children, & trotting out all of the failed attacks that didn’t work the 1st time around.

Why won’t any of his ‘advisers’ tell him he sounds desperate & totally mean-spirited?

really? you’re more compassionate than i am. i feel like he really has no one to blame but himself for the way his campaign is imploding.

  14. At first when I read that I thought you meant he said, “You’re all - ‘Joe the Plumber!’”

And I thought I actually like him for that. But then I realized what he actually said and I was like oh. Yeah he still sucks.

  15. On a scale of degree of lies, Obama is a professional socialpath lier. Politics aside, Obama lied about getting public campaign financing–this is just the beginning. No one knows where he gets at least 1/3 of his money from, probably from people who deal with drugs. Also, he used his childhood history as a big promoting factor, whereas he didn’t even visit his mother until after she died of cancer. He has never visited his aunt on his father’s side. Now he made a show to have visited his grandmother for less than a day.
If you watched Charlie Rose and the commentator David (I can’t recall the last name), the entire time Obama was in the Senate, he was never there for any meeting or decision making. He was never around. He does not have a good reputation in the Senate.

its an interesting assertion you make that because the American people have donated millions upon millions of money to him that it must come “from people who deal drugs”. I suspect that using your logic, a very large portion of the country deals drugs (since a very large portion of the country has donated to Obama).

Please go back to your “We Need 4 More Years of the Same Failed Policies” website. No one here wants to hear your flimsy, close-minded, assanine arguements.

  19. I kinda admire McCain for a few things (1) He’s honestly in this for real, not like the fraud the Bush is and was, basically a puppet of the shadow govt or what not, handed the presidency on a silver platter, who knows, but the guy could barely read his lines, whereas McCain clearly _tries_. (2) He’s actually chilled out his rabid followers, noble given how few there are, and more so considering Bush would’ve never done this. I’ll give him 1/2 a point here, as he actually put his foot in his mouth, saying “He’s not a muslim, he’s a good, Christian”, as if all Muslims/Jews/Catholics/Buddhists/That One’s are evil (3) and finally, how many 70 year olds do you see out there? Gotta give him a little credit.

But not my vote. Sarah Barbie Palin. Puhleez. She’s as corrupt as they come, Maverick - huh, the old boy network in DC will welcome her as one of their own. Right up the republican fraud alley, pretending to be the hockey mom, but then she flies her kids around the country on the taxpayers bill, then changes the records to say they were invited (corruption big time), talk about a liar, has her house built by the company she happens to later give a fat contract too, and she, don’t we all wish we could spend $150,000 at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom on some new threads - in these tough times, her base must be drinking some serious koolaid to think that kind of waste of taxpayer dollar is mighty fine.

    About Ms. Palin the Neiman-Marxist:

To be fair, taxpayer dollers didn’t pay for her chlothes. The Republican National Committee did, which means Republican donors paid for Ms. Palin’s duds. I hope that ExxonMobil, ArcherDanielsMidland, and Pfizer feel that they got their money’s worth.

  21. Don’t you have Oxfam over there for clothes?

An Obama win is starting to look more rather than less likely. I’d like to know what an Obama Presidency would mean for Britons.
