Kodachrome is younger than John McCain.

According to the Kodak website, the popular slide film (made even more popular-er from the classic Simon and Garfunkel song – who, incidentally, are both way younger than John McCain) can now only be processed at one remaining location in the world… Dwayne’s Photo Service in Parsons, Kansas.
In other words, Kodachrome, which is younger than John McCain, is almost dead.

It’s a minor nitpick, but the song “Kodachrome” was written by Paul Simon (solo), not Simon & Garfunkel.
However, Kodachrome (the film and the song) are still both younger than John McCain.

Are you kidding me? Is this web-site for real? Picking a President(or any elected official) by age and not because of experience, past actions and qualifications should disqualify a person from voting.
Comment by jmccart — May 12, 2008 @ 11:34 am
yep – the site is for real.
i think that age is a relevant factor for choosing a President. not only is it a physically-demanding job, but i want a President that can relate to the concerns of the typical american rather than have to scratch his head to remember what it was like to be, for example, young and struggling to raise a family.
besides – we had experience (cheney) and past actions (bush) and look where that got us!
Comment by admin — May 12, 2008 @ 12:08 pm
Your website shows how idiotic you truly are. I agree with jmccart–perhaps you don’t put a lot of faith in life experiences because you’ve only had, oh, I’d guess, 16 years of them??? Juvenile.
Comment by teresa — May 12, 2008 @ 12:16 pm
Dwayne’s is also pretty much your last best hope for processing exposed 8mm Kodachrome film from your Super-8 camera. Which means that a home-film format that is also effectively dead — one which evokes, as much as anything these days, memories of reruns of the already willfully nostalgiac The Wonder Years — is, by a margin of decades, younger than McCain.

Suggestion: Why not put the date these things were invented in each post? And John McCain’s date of birth for comparison?

Hey, how about a site called “Things Blacker Than Barack Obama?” He-he-he-he. How about “Things More Angry Than Michelle Obama?” How about “Things Dumber Than An Obamaphile?” Naw, that would be a very short list.
This site pretty much reinforces the notion that Obamaphiles are delusional lightweights.
Since Mccain survived years in a POW camped, I think he can survive the rigors of the presidency.
Finally, in the recent primaries in Indiana and N.C., BO loooked, well, limp. Tired. Sleepy. We should start calling him Serta Obama.

RIGHT ON!!! THE GUY IS TOO OLD!
THERE IS A POINT AT WHICH YOUR ARE TOO OLD TO BE ON TOP
OF ALL THE INFORMATION THAT MUST BE PROCESSED.
JOHN MCCAIN CANT REMEMBER THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SHITES AND THE SUNNIS… HE CANT GIVE A SPEECH WITH OUT MAKING MISTAKES AND HAVING PEOPLE WHISPER FACTS IN HIS EAR… WASN’T RONALD REAGON BAD ENOUGH HE WAS TOTALLY SENILE HIS 2ND TIME AROUND AND NANCY AND HER ASTROLOGER RAN THE COUNTRY…. SHEESH! AND FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS THIS PRE- RETIREE IN THE OVAL OFFICE YOU GO OON OVER TO IRAQ AND FIGHT FOR 100 YEARS LIKE YOUR CANDIDATE SUGGESTED !!!
Comment by debra — May 12, 2008 @ 12:46 pm
First of all, the website is funny. Try to keep a sense of perspective.
Second, age is certainly an important factor in choosing the person who will lead our country for the next 4 years. It is not the only or, necessarily, the most important factor but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t matter. An older candidate does have life experience, which is good, but he/she also is far removed from much of the population. He/she is also more likely to die. I prefer to vote for a president who’ll last all 4 years. Speaking of which, who will be McCain’s running mate…?

@ tunnelrat
dude, get a perspective, mccain’s one really old chap who wont release his medical records. and when things have really gone very very wrong with the recent bush years – and people are rooting for obama, the last thing yu need this old gentleman who’s increasingly looking like another bush.
Comment by ashok pai — May 12, 2008 @ 1:23 pm
Get a life — there are things older than Obama too, especially in the field of computers, but the point is the guy is a little clue-less — this is a fun way to poke at that foible.
MY concern (serious) is that yes, the guy did survive a POW experience. How has that changed him, and is that sort of experience one we want to have in charge of ‘the free world’? Don’t get me wrong, I admire the courage and fortitude that must have taken, but really, what did that do to the guy’s head? I can’t imagine anyone coming through that experience unchanged, and is that the sort of ‘history’ we need to repeat?
Scary folks, but then the other options the ‘big two’ offer aren’t all that great either. Sigh, hold your nose and vote for the least corrupt. What a sad comment.

Haha, gawd. 2 or 3 of you got it right. debra is like 12, if that old, or lacks self-control or is so self-centered she/he/it doesn’t care ALL CAPS IS FUCKING RUDE AND ONLY MORONS DO IT. OB was never “struggling” to raise a family. OB and Angry Black Woman’s greatest struggle in raising a family has been what private school to send their kids to, so spare us the BS. Past experiences? Ha, Bill and Hill comes to mind, Carter does too. Bill and Hill were so successful Hill can’t get elected allowing us to relive the golden 2-fer years. Tunnel Rat you missed one. Things Older than B. Hussian Obama … like my toenails. You liberals like to believe conservatives are brainwashed ditto heads or some such nonsense, but please ignore the how the MSM has picked and promoted Obama for you. Keep thinking it’s your choice.

John McCain is also older than the idea of having supporters who don’t flip their shit in the comments section of parodic websites.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to write a stern letter to those lazy fact-checkers over at The Onion, and then cancel my google.
Comment by Josh Millard — May 12, 2008 @ 1:53 pm
ashok pai – 1) in this country there are laws AGAINST ageism. Our liberal friends put them in place so that allows them practice the very thing they outlawed because, you know, they are morally better than the rest. The funny thing is they have no idea they are doing it. 2) Bill NEVER released his medical records, so we don’t know how long his treatment for cocaine addiction, and sex addiction (which apparently failed btw), lasted. Or how often he was treated for VD or if he was ever treated for his pathological lying. Releasing med records have never been the norm, except of course when liberals want to whine about it cuz it just another self-serving ploy to win. Honesty and Liberals have nothing in common.
Comment by Bosco — May 12, 2008 @ 2:08 pm
Yes. McCain is an old rotting fruit ready to explode. Clearly too old to be President. We need to vote for Hannah Montana. She knows how to get things done.
Comment by Steve — May 12, 2008 @ 3:50 pm
From what I see, this site is listing facts about McCain. The administrator’s opinion in no way affects the facts. If this list angers some people anyway…then I would wonder what other truths would do likewise.
That’s my opinion.

“Picking a President(or any elected official) by age and not because of experience, past actions and qualifications should disqualify a person from voting.”
Do you honestly believe that? I mean, I agree, it is idiotic to vote for someone based only on a single issue, such as those who vote only based on a candidate’s view on abortion or whatever other special interest they may hold. However, they are fully entitled to do that under the law, and if they care enough to go out and actually vote, then more power to them. Besides, logistically speaking, how the fuck would someone regulate that?
“in this country there are laws AGAINST ageism.”
Hey, you’re right, which is why it is totally fine for John McCain to run for president, regardless of how old he is (besides the minimum age limit of 35 years). But those laws have nothing to do with voting. I can vote for any of the candidates for any reason I see fit. If I choose to not vote for McCain because of his age, it may be ageism, but discrimination (not in the bigoted sense) is one of the key elements of voting as a responsible American.
Anyway, my real issue with McCain isn’t that he’s old. That’s fine with me. My real issue is his reputation as a tantrum throwing hothead.
Oh, and the fact that he is wrong on every issue on the board. But, you know, maybe that is just me trying to cover up my apparent “ageism.”

this site is hilarious. you totally just made my day. keep em rolling! it’s so interesting that this election has so many more people than usual (finally) interested… and sites like this, and the printable candidate finger puppets site, are uber amusing, but are, at the same time, drawing even more attention and interest into the election.
brave of you to open the opinionated comments to the General Public. that is amusing as well. but for different reasons.

McCain has proven many times that he is too old to be our President. Not even a medium sized company would pick a man of his age to be President. We need a younger man or woman for such a difficult job. The nomination of McCain by the GOPers shows the sad state of affairs in the GOP. This website is funny. Thanks for your efforts.

well, Simon and Garfunkel do play Kodachrome together for their Concert in Central Park album as a medley with other songs. It’s good.
