Am I being "age-ist"? Maybe. But maybe not. The world is a pretty complicated place right now and I'm thinking that it's not such a great time to elect our oldest President ever. So sue me.

In reference to number 21: why is it that Republicans never learned to spell, or use proper grammar? Must have been educated under No Child Left Behind. For the record, I'm an Independent.

Perhaps W's mug could be carved into Mount Headrushmore in an Upside down fashion?

Could you imagine the head rush you would get from being held upside down at that height? Who needs booze? It would be sooooo exhilirating.

I think you refer to the age of the sculptures. The moutain is less than 70 million years old. The rock it consists of is one and a half billion years old.

Oh, and the whole "colonist" thing? Sure, that wasn't very nice, but humans are animals. The Europeans wanted more land, so they took it. Survival of the fittest, rational self-interest, etc. That's the way the world works.

Rushmore is in West-Central SD. The difference between the Dakotas are as follows: South Dakota has the Black Hills, Deadwood, Wall Drug, mountains in the west, a portion of the Badlands, and er, other things, I think. North Dakota has a bit of the Badlands and there's missles in Minot. Oh, and the residents are quit different. North Dakotans will readily admit that their state sucks, while SoDaks (as we Minnesotans call them) have some odd inferiority complex and will attempt to convince you that their state is better through the use of multiple logical fallacies. I know this because I've lived in Fargo, roomed with a SoDak, dated a SoDak, and my best friend is a North Dakotan. Oh, and McCain changes positions alot for a "straight talker", is a little too cozy with lobbyists for a "maverick", doesn't seem to know the difference between appeasement and negotiation, admittedly doesn't know the first thing about economics (his support for Bush's tax cuts supports his evaluation), and is shockingly divorced from reality when it comes to his appraisal of the Iraq Occupation...and he's old. Otherwise, he'd be a great president.

I've been to Mt. Rushmore twice. It is in SD. I'm sure everyone's said that already. My interesting quip is that it HAS to be in SD because I have a theory that North Dakota is a figment of people's imagination. I've never known anyone (honest) that has lived, been to, or driven through ND. I think it is made up like trickle-down economics benefiting the poor, the rampant welfare mother epidemic, God (seriously, prove it), pink elephants, and 'compassionate conservatives'. Liberal Christians, on the other hand, do exist. It is not a paradox. Jesus was a total hippy.

Thanks for the chuckle: watching desperate folk torturing facts to fit their political spin. Mountains and chemical elements older than McCain?

I like the notion of W's mug being carved on Mt. Rushmore. It would just add to the sheer insanity of his term and his legacy. Like, his expression is consistently so befuddled, just seeing it up there would be frikkin hilarious. I for one would repel down his forehead and paint a big target right between his eyes.

It's okay to make fun of age. Everyone gets old. I'll be old someday, you'll be old someday, blacks and whites and mexicans and asians and everyone, no matter where they are, will grow old. Unless, of course, they die first.
It's not okay to make fun of race - not everyone will be black. Imagine, waking up one morning and having a completely different skin color, then going outside and having the KKK kick your ass.
