Things younger than Republican Presidential candidate (oh, and did I forget to mention war hero?) John McCain

Am I being “age-ist”? Maybe. But maybe not. The world is a pretty complicated place right now and I’m thinking that it’s not such a great time to elect our oldest President ever. So sue me.

Radiocarbon dating.

Radiocarbon Dating is younger than John McCain.

I read an article (and I think I posted about it a while back) that said that John McCain lied about his age when he was “wooing” his lovely and loaded “trophy” wife. Had she been a science major at USC rather than a cheerleader, she might have been able to - wait for it - yes, perform Radiocarbon Dating on her soon-to-be geezer husband. Thank you. Don’t forget to tip your waitress.

She also could have performed dendrochronology (tree ring dating - which is ambiguously younger than McCain) but that’s far too messy.

(Thanks to Laura for the tip!)

  2. I’m pretty sure that carbon dating only works on dead things, but okay.

  3. FYI, I was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and to the best of my knowledge there was never any disparaging remark about Jews, nor any rule or law barring Jews.
However, I am an extremely liberal, Green party elected official who is a great supporter of Obama. Please do not make generalizations about the demographic of people who support Obama or do not support McCain. There are people of all walks of life who support both and you only turn people off when you make accusations such as these. It kinda makes you sound like…a politician!

I strongly feel that you should edit this post and remove this information that has absolutely no factual backing.

  5. i changed it - less because it was questionably offensive and more because - in the light of day - it’s shorter and a little funnier without it. so there. :)

  6. Thanks, I read your blog every day, and I frequently forward it, link to it from my blog, etc., etc. I am certainly not one of those adults who still wears my letters or whatever, but I just felt like I had to say something.

    Rock on.
