Am I being “age-ist”? Maybe. But maybe not. The world is a pretty complicated place right now and I’m thinking that it’s not such a great time to elect our oldest President ever. So sue me.

Well, at least they got the your/you’re distinction correct, so they have that going for them. Of course, another thing associated with old people is dementia. I wonder if this person knows who would win in a fight: wisdom or dementia.

C’mon, give us the mail address…..and then we can all write answers!

Hmm.
I guess he doesn’t read this blog, because your posts have been getting more and more off topic lately, centering on a multitude of stupid things McCain does, even focusing on Palin every now and again.
You should be ashamed…you’re obviously confusing this person…keep it simple for them!

Wisdom doesn’t automatically come with old age. Nothing does - except wrinkles. It’s true, some wines improve with age. But only if the grapes were good in the first place.

I think this blog is totally hilarious! The debate
tonight was also hilarious. I think you’re right about
your thoughts, the same one I’ve been thinking. I just wonder if McCain thinks about his own mortality.
To pick a dumbass for V.P. must be his way to get back at America for the five years he spent at The Hanoi Hilton.

well, mcPOW did better than i expected tonight, but way WAY too into ronnie raygun, who was his age for his SECOND term when the alzeimer’s hit.

“Ever heard of a little thing called wisdom?”
Who in the world seriously talks like that? Smug, clichéd phrases like this one completely obliterate whatever kind of grave point the writer is trying to make.
Comment by Andy — September 27, 2008 @ 2:16 am
Haha. “You’ve got nothing to say about McCain but his age? Well… Obama’s BLACK!”
(On the debate, did anyone else notice that weird soupy voice McCain puts on when he’s doing his war stories? Ugh.)
Comment by Robin — September 27, 2008 @ 5:49 am
wow I just got the idea for the sister sites:
-Books thinner than McCain’s 1200 pages long medical records
-something something that has something something longer than Palin has her passport
Comment by 51 years younger than McCain — September 27, 2008 @ 6:20 am
Hmm. The older you are, the more widsom you have. In that case, let’s elect Edna Parker (1893-) for President, ’cause she’s the oldest person in the world.
Comment by Aqquila — September 27, 2008 @ 8:17 am
Robin, I didn’t notice the soupy voice, but I did notice this: Obama tended to talk about what “we” need to do. McCain tended to talk about what “I” did.
I guess that’s just something people do when they’re really old…
Comment by Roddy McColey — September 27, 2008 @ 11:17 am
Incidentally, “conservative” stupidity is one of the few things older than John McCain.
Comment by Roddy McColey — September 27, 2008 @ 11:32 am
WHOA. WAIT! Obama is black?
That changes everything.
Comment by Brittany — September 27, 2008 @ 2:37 pm
Roddy, I did notice that whenever McSame spoke I started to nod off - it was like my grandpa telling me a bedtime story. Huff. Post had a article counting the number of times that Sen. McSame called Obama, Barack-0; # of times that Obama called McSame John-0. Maybe John couldn’t remember Obama’s name?

Did this guy even bother reading the site before sending that? My guess is no, or maybe they did and the dementia kicked in…

Love what you’re doing here, but I think you’re being far too nice by blocking out that guys email address.

Just remember that for each person who won’t be sending you a birthday card, another 10 will be naming their children after you.
Comment by Shorebird — September 29, 2008 @ 11:55 am
20,
there will be kids called ‘admin’? how odd…
but seriously - thanks. that made my day.
“JOE”
Comment by admin — September 29, 2008 @ 12:01 pm
In a world where people give their kids such names as Audio Science, Pilot Inspektor, Kal-El, or Seargeoh Admin wouldn’t be really an odd name…
Comment by Aqquila — September 29, 2008 @ 12:43 pm
As I saw on a website today a picture with John McCain that said “Don’t make fun of him for his age. There are so many better reasons.” So I commened you for focusing on the least pressing issue of why he shouldn’ t be elected President.

Wow this email is a perfect example of people who take offence to political humour that is made for the point of entertainment not making a strong political view.
I need that example for an English presentaion on Political humour and also this website gets a two minute plug in this speech (not that great a plug but i could have spoken about a different website)
