Am I being “age-ist”? Maybe. But maybe not. The world is a pretty complicated place right now and I’m thinking that it’s not such a great time to elect our oldest President ever. So sue me.

That was great! I shouldn’t have watched it when I was eating, though; I was laughing so much I almost choked!

This is way off topic, but I would like to say thank you to the author of this website. Funny, opinionated and informative - in a satirical way.
This will not be read by many, but for those that do… goddamn it, open your eyes. When was the last time you felt united, as the name of our country suggests?
This one of our most trying times our country has ever faced, and yet we stand idle and mock political candidates rather than come together. Our economy is shit, we are fighting two wars, and our current administration in last seven years has made us numb to the fact that thousands of our flesh and blood were murdered in an assortment of horrific ways by a radical group that flew fucking planes into our buildings; we still haven’t ripped the balls off of the piece of shit that has done this to us.
I grew up in the Bronx, NYC and I lost my aunt and a few friends in 9/11. The gravity of this has affected me to this day. In what fair country can we watch our neighbors willingly throw themselves from a burning skyscraper in some desperate hope that they will survive? Why haven’t we done anything? More importantly, why the hell won’t we give the good people of Iraq their country back?
I see this election and the hope it brings all of us, but I can’t shake the feeling that people are just not willing to “accept” Obama as President. Perhaps this is due to the propaganda spread by the Republican campaign. Perhaps it’s due to the fact he’s an eloquent speaking black man - a social anomaly within mainland America.
This is especially distressing for me, as I am soon to leave for the United States Marine Corps.
When I leave… I cannot fight for a select few. I am giving my mind and body for EVERYONE in this nation of ours, holding onto the notion that there is much LESS to this world than ideologies and race. I hold onto the hope that people are willing to make the correct decisions for me. I am sacrificing my body and mind to become one with the Constitution in hopes that there will be those in command that will not have me die in vain. Once deployed, I’ll care not about taxes, corporate greed, racism and religious differences. I’ll remember not what it feels like to have personal items, money and influence. Please, for all those visit this site to just be a cynic, realize that I do not want to die in the sandtrap of Iraq. Give me an honorable death on the battlefield chasing down Al Queda and other evils that must be eradicated from this world. Give me the confidence that when my last breath escapes my chest, it won’t be a sigh of regret. Give me respect and I’ll gladly give you my life in exchange.
Vote because you want affordable health care. Vote because you believe that it is those with the strongest minds and hearts should have influence, not those with the deepest pockets and investments. Vote because you’re sick of the last eight years. Vote because you want other countries to view this America with the same prestige that it once had. Vote if you think that it is the love that is sacred, not ceremonies. Vote because you like the way Obama talks. Vote because you don’t like the other guy, or think the other guy is too old. Vote because you’re black, and would like a little more representation.
Whatever the case may be, get Illinois Senator Barrack Obama into the fucking White House.
Just another body,
~ Zen

Right on, Zen! I’ve already voted for Mr. Obama. God be with you (all of you) as you go overseas to represent us (ALL of us).
Say there, Admin, I think that Zen may be younger than John McCain…

On a scale of degree of lies, Obama is a professional socialpath lier. Politics aside, Obama lied about getting public campaign financing–this is just the beginning. No one knows where he gets at least 1/3 of his money from, probably from people who deal with drugs. Also, he used his childhood history as a big promoting factor, whereas he didn’t even visit his mother until after she died of cancer. He has never visited his aunt on his father’s side. Now he made a show to have visited his grandmother for less than a day.
If you watched Charlie Rose and the commentator David (I can’t recall the last name), the entire time Obama was in the Senate, he was never there for any meeting or decision making. He was never around. He does not have a good reputation in the Senate.
