Am I being “age-ist”? Maybe. But maybe not. The world is a pretty complicated place right now and I’m thinking that it’s not such a great time to elect our oldest President ever. So sue me.

Really important to remember that during WWII the U.S. propaganda effort was aggressive and wide spread. Media outlets from magazines to cartoons like Superman and Bugs Bunny were paid to produce propaganda to government standards.
Why is that relevant to McCain? Well, you’re talking about a man who grew up under this propaganda and then the McCarthy “commie hunting” era - not exactly healthy influences, no?

I was intrigued by the article on “pepped-up gas” and did a Google search–and while I didn’t find anything on that, I did run across this scanned article on Silly Putty, which was also featured in this particular issue of Popular Science (and is apparently also younger than John McCain).

Reading this blog daily is injecting so much knowledge into my life.
