The point of this site, as I’ve explained previously, is to raise awareness of McCain’s age in the context of how it might affect his ability to do a good job as President. The most obvious implication of his age is on matters pertaining to health but another belief that I’ve long held is the potential for him to have difficulty connecting with the vast majority of Americans.
Case in point: a video game on pork barrel spending based off of the vintage (and not even kitschy-cool) “Space Invaders”. Are you kidding me? Is he so out of touch as to think that anyone - young or old - is going to forward a link to his website along with a note that says “Hey, Scooter - check out this great game over on johnmccain.com! You can shoot the pigs and restore fiscal responsibility to our federal government. It’s freakin’ awesome!”
And yes, I said “Scooter”.

I think it should be noted that Space Invaders was published in 1978, which is the game his ‘Pork Invaders’ is based off. Ironic, isn’t it?

[Edit] And would make it Younger Than John McCain, which I meant to add >_<

AND younger than Barack Obama! What a stupid yardstick. Let’s vote in Britney Spears because she’s younger than Space Invaders.

Oh wait! Anyone younger than Space Invaders is TOO YOUNG to be president, BY LAW! How stupid!
If there were only 3 years difference between the candidates, one could find things that were invented during that 3-year period.
Youth is NOT necessarily an advantage. Our current president was too young to do a good job. Hmm, right about the same age as Obama.

I’m 23 and know nothing about space invaders. Barack needs to come out with a Wii game.

Heh. Apparently *all* electronic games are younger than John McCain:

Ok I’m 25 and I’m totally missing the “Hey Scooter” remark… did I not get the memo about “Stop calling your friends ‘Dude’ or ‘Man’ or heavens forbid, *by their name* and start calling them ‘Scooter’!!”
Or maybe it should say “Hey Scooter! This game is the cat’s pajamas!”
Incidentally, it would kick ass if Barack came out with a Wii game. In light of all the rockers who have thrown their support behind him… how about “Barack Band”?

“Yes Wii Can?”
HA HA HA HA HA - that was a good one!
Come on now, I think the “Captain McCain secret decoder ring” will be a big hit - “Hey, fellas and girls, send in three box tops from Kelloggs “Pep!” cereal, and you can have your very own decoder ring!”
I love the way the McCain camp wants your zip code (read: voting district) when you sign up
to “Be the first to know.” Is that where we get the flip-flop alerts?
Of course, McCain’s supporters might be right - maybe he didn’t flip-flop, perhaps he just forgot where he stood.
“Comedy writers for McCain! Not since Gerald Ford or Dan Quyale has there been such potential for comedy GOLD!”
Comment by Dork — July 16, 2008 @ 8:35 pm
agreed - “yes wii can” is pretty damn funny…. good job!

“Yes Wii can.” ROFL
McCain’s dumb game — he’s computer illiterate, so it probably wasn’t his idea. Apparently even his campaign people are out of touch.
